
Opposition MPs have appealed to the court
Four MPs from the “Hayastan” faction of the National Assembly—Kristine Vardanyan, Anna Grigoryan, Gegham Manukyan, and Arthur Khachatryan—have filed a lawsuit against the government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). They have demanded that the letter issued by Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on March 14, 2024, be declared unlawful, according to the letter, the mentioned MPs were prohibited from accessing the content of the peace treaty.
They had previously been granted access to the treaty’s contents in December. However, shortly after, their access was restricted.
You read those documents, and then you made posts on social media that have absolutely no connection to reality, using them for your political purposes. I prohibited it because you would read the text and then tell fairy tales about it, and would we just sit quietly?, – said Nikol Pashinyan.
This was preceded by a statement from the members of the “Hayastan” faction, claiming that “Azerbaijani proposals and approaches do not reflect the position of a country that genuinely seeks to establish a real, just, and lasting peace.
The preliminary court session is scheduled for January 14, 2025
