
The EDB (Eurasian Development Bank) plans to invest 200-250 million dollars in Armenia
The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) plans to invest 200-250 million dollars in Armenia over the next two years. This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Bank’s Board, Yaroslav Mandron.
In 2025, the EDB is considering new projects related to Armenia’s electricity grids. It is planned also plans to continue cooperation with “Yeremyan Projects” and the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine.
In June of this year, the EDB allocated 100 million drams to Armenia to mitigate the effects of flooding. In July, the bank announced a loan of approximately 200 million dollars for the construction of the Kapan Tunnel as part of the “North-South” transport corridor. In the same month, the bank also declared it would provide the government with a loan of around 100 million dollars to cover the budget deficit.
The President of the EDB’s Board, Nikolay Podguzov, also stated that they are ready to make investments totaling approximately 500 million dollars in Armenia over the next 3 years.
