The operation of 5 car wash facilities in the regions has been suspended
Violations related to the operation of car wash facilities have been recorded in the Syunik and Vayots Dzor regions. It leads to the suspension of 5 facilities. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also addressed this issue. He states during a government session that he had witnessed violations at car wash facilities, pointed out that the foam generated during the washing process was flowing into rivers and lakes. He urged the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure to resolve the problem.
As a result, the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body has suspended the operation of car wash facilities in the regions.
In the town of Kapan, Syunik Province, the wastewater disposal from car washes owned by individual entrepreneurs (IE) Alen Hovhannisyan and Artur Ohanyan was carried out without authorization, with the wastewater from car washing being discharged into the Voghji River. In the Areni community of Vayots Dzor Province, the wastewater from car washes owned by individual entrepreneurs (IE) Stepan Sargsyan, Nver Ohanyan, and Vardan Alaverdyan was illegally discharged without the required permits.
