Two Armenian films have been withdrawn from international film festivals under Azerbaijani threats

In the fall, two Armenian films were subjected to censorship and withdrawn from international film festivals under Azerbaijani threats. This was reported by writer Hovhannes Ishkhanyan.

The censored films include Katya Spivakova’s “All I Need” (an 11-minute short film about Shushi), which was excluded from Morocco’s “Issni N’Ourgh” film festival program under Azerbaijani pressure. The second film is Sarin Hayrapetyan’s documentary “My Sweet Home” (about Artsakh), which Jordan had submitted for the Oscars’ “Best Film” category but later withdrew.

The Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia have not officially responded to the matter.
