Exhibition on Cilicia Reopens at the History Museum of Armenia
The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports has announced that after a 4 year hiatus, the exhibition titled “The Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia: By the Grace of God” reopened on December 26 at the History Museum of Armenia. The exhibition showcases key symbols and cultural artifacts of the Armenian state of Cilicia from the 11th to 14th centuries.
The displayed items include rare relics from the powerful Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia, offering visitors the opportunity to trace the establishment of the principality and the development of the Armenian state.
The exhibition features coins from the museum’s numismatic collections, representing the era of the principality and the kingdom, as well as coins from contemporary states. It also includes genealogical charts of royal families and silk garments.
In an interview with AMNEWS, museum representatives noted that the permanent exhibition will be accompanied by documentary videos and animations about Cilicia, making the information more vivid and memorable. These visual aids complement the artifacts, providing a deeper understanding of Cilicia’s history.
