Wildfires Erupt in the Mountains of Tavush and Gegharkunik
Wildfires have broken out near the Aghavnavank community in Tavush Province and the Dzoravank community in Gegharkunik Province. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Rescue Service.
The emergency calls about the fires were received on January 5 at around 8:00 AM. Staff mobilization has been announced in both Gegharkunik and Tavush provinces.
Due to the lack of accessible routes for vehicles, firefighters are continuing their journey on foot. Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Director of the Rescue Service, Kamo Tsutsulyan, has also arrived at the scene.
