A new branch of the Museum of Literature and Art will be established in the memorial building located at 32 Republic Street, Yerevan, dedicated to the prominent diaspora Armenian artist, carpet designer, and pioneer of earth art, Marcos Grigorian. This was reported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports (ESCS).

The initiative is being carried out within the framework of a cultural cooperation memorandum signed between the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan and the Mayor of Yerevan Tigran Avinyan. According to the memorandum, the parties will work together to organize a permanent exhibition of Marcos Grigorian’s works in the memorial building, marking the 100th anniversary of his birth. Temporary exhibitions and events dedicated to the artist’s life and work are also planned.

Tigran Avinyan assured that the necessary renovation and improvement works would be carried out in the space allocated by the municipality. He emphasized that “the museum will become one of Yerevan’s significant cultural landmarks for both locals and tourists.”
