Extraordinary Council Elections to Be Held in Parakar Community
The Central Electoral Commission has announced that extraordinary council elections will take place on March 30 in the Parakar community of the Armavir region. The pre-election campaigning period is set from March 15 to March 28, inclusive.
The registration period for the electoral lists of political parties and alliances of parties is scheduled from March 5 to March 10.
In the primaries held in Parakar on January 11-12, former community head Lyudvig Gyulnazaryan, who resigned two months ago, emerged victorious.
It should be noted that on January 16, 2025, the government made a decision to terminate the powers of the Parakar community council prematurely and to schedule extraordinary elections.
