
A Youth Council on Climate Change is Being Formed
A Youth Council on Climate Change will be established under the Ministry of Environment and UNICEF. It will serve as a platform for young people aged 16-24 to engage in discussions about climate issues, develop solutions, and participate in decision-making processes. The council will provide an opportunity for young people to utilize their skills and ideas, discuss climate and environmental issues with experts, decision-makers, and other stakeholders, highlight environmental challenges in their communities, and propose solutions.
The council will consist of a maximum of 18 members, which will represent various regions of Armenia. Members may serve on the council for a term of one to three years. The council will meet at least six times a year and organize additional online events.
