Armenia Discusses Draft Law on Regulation of Crypto Assets
A consultation chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan focused on a draft law aimed at regulating the crypto assets sector. According to the government’s press service, the draft seeks to ensure the stable development of the sector while mitigating potential risks.
One of the primary objectives of the draft law is to establish a clear regulatory framework based on international practices, particularly the legislative experience of the European Union. It aims to address public offerings of crypto assets, the provision of related services, and to enhance transparency in trading.
The proposed regulations will define clear rules for the sale of crypto assets, the delivery of services, and trading activities.
Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized that regulating the sector is essential not only for effectively managing risks but also for fostering innovative solutions within the industry. He instructed that the draft be refined to incorporate all relevant suggestions before being submitted for government approval.
