3-year-old Tigran strangled by his father, according to preliminary investigation data
According to preliminary data, three-year-old Tigran was killed as a result of strangulation; the crime was committed by the child’s father, based on the preliminary investigation data. Minister of Internal Affairs (IA) Arpine Sargsyan announced this during a briefing with journalists in the National Assembly.
According to her, the two brothers left the house and then met their father.
“The child’s father stated that the incident occurred within the scope of certain family matters. I cannot publicize any other data at this moment,” Minister Sargsyan said, adding that this version has been under consideration since the very first days.
Specialists were involved to clarify the circumstances of the case, in order to obtain the testimony of the child’s brother without psychological trauma. Earlier, the child’s aunt had reported that Tigran’s mute brother, who was next to him at the time of the incident, repeatedly pointed to his throat with his hand; this had led to speculations about the strangulation theory.
It should be noted that yesterday, on November 2, after prolonged search operations, the body of 3-year-old Tigran, who had been considered missing since October 27, was discovered in a field area of the village of Jil.
