Activities of “Ashtarak Kat” Milk Processing Plant Suspended
The operation of the milk processing plant of “Ashtarak Milk” LLC, located in the village of Shoghakat, Gegharkunik Province, has been suspended by a decision of the Food Safety Inspectorate Body. The suspension specifically applies to the milk procurement and cooling processes.
The floor and wall surfaces were not made of waterproof, washable, and disinfectable materials, and damage was observed in certain sections of the ceiling, which could contribute to the accumulation of dirt, the formation of mold, the dropping of particles, and the accumulation of moisture. The doors of the production facilities are not smooth and are not made of non-absorbent materials.
Traces of corrosion were found on the surfaces of the scales and lifting equipment intended for milk collection and storage, which also creates a risk to food safety.
The oversight body has set a deadline to eliminate the violations, allowing the plant to resume operations only upon compliance with all safety requirements.
