Armenian School Students Return from International Physics, Mathematics, and Artificial Intelligence Olympiad
School students from the Republic of Armenia won one bronze medal at the 2nd International Physics, Mathematics, and Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (FAIO 2025). The event took place on October 30-31 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The competition was attended by 124 students from 47 teams representing 7 countries.
Armenia was represented by 4 teams from the “Foton” Lyceum of Gyumri. The bronze medal was secured by the Lyceum’s first team, which included 11th-grade students Artyom Hovhannisyan, Lilit Hakobyan, and Aram Minasyan. They successfully completed both theoretical and practical tasks designed to reflect real-world problems.
The other three teams from the “Foton” Lyceum also participated in the Olympiad. The second team consisted of 10th-grade students Gurgen Bayburdyan, Mkrtich Gabrielyan, and Aram Metzoyan; the third team included Samvel Sahakyan, Karen Martirosyan, and Artsrun Martirosyan; and the 4th team included Silva Khachatryan and Narek Petrosyan.
The teams were selected by the organizers based on the results of the first online phase, which took place in September. The training and co-financing of the final round of the Olympiad participation were carried out by the “Improviz” Olympic Center.
