Armenia Has European Boxing Champions in the U23 Tournament
Armenia has several champions in the ongoing European U23 and Youth Boxing Championship at the Yerevan Sports Management Center, the Boxing Federation of Armenia reports.
Just recently, Elida Kocharyan (60 kg), representing Armenia, defeated Russian Anastasiia Alekseeva with a score of 5:0 and became a three-time European U23 Champion. According to the Federation, this is an exceptional result not only in the history of Armenian but also world boxing.
In recent days, Samvel Siramargyan (75 kg) has also become a three-time European Champion. Andranik Martirosyan (60 kg) and Argishti Hakobyan (67 kg) have also claimed champion titles. Earlier, Vagharshak Keyan was recognized as the European Champion, while Harutyun Martirosyan and Vahram Dovlatbekyan became Vice-Champions.
The European U23 and Youth Championship kicked off on November 3 at the former “Mika” Sports Complex.
