Yerevan is Paralyzed Again: Traffic is Rated 9 out of 10
Yerevan has once again recorded severe traffic jams, with vehicles heavily overburdening the roads, particularly in the Kentron administrative district. According to data from the “Yandex” service, as of 18:50, the capital’s traffic jam index was rated 9 out of 10 points.
As a result of the situation, employees of the Traffic Police are currently on duty on a number of streets to regulate traffic. A similar congestion was also created days ago.
The Prime Minister had also addressed this issue, proposing the establishment of a Crisis Center, the purpose of which should be to regulate traffic and avoid congestion. The repetition of such situations indicates that systemic and quick solutions are necessary for regulating the capital’s traffic.
