License Termination Will Not Disrupt ESN’s Operations
Public discussions and concerns surrounding the termination of the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA/ESN) license are ongoing, against which backdrop the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) has issued a clarification, emphasizing that the company’s financial stability has not been, and cannot be, compromised under the current legal framework.
The Commission stresses that, pursuant to the regulations stipulated by law, ENA/ESN will continue to bear all its obligations, including the financial aspects, even after the termination of the license.
Until the completion of the full transfer process of the electricity distribution activities, the company will be managed by an interim administrator, Romanos Petrosyan, whose duty will be to ensure the normal operation of ENA/ESN. This includes both maintaining the company’s financial stability and ensuring the reliable and safe operation of the system. According to the statement, the termination of the license will not affect the company’s cash flows in any way.
