Pashinyan: The New Constitution Must Become the Basis for Strengthening Internal Legitimacy

At the first forum of representatives of Armenia’s state bodies, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan emphasized that strengthening the country’s internal legitimacy is only possible with a new Constitution, which, according to him, should reflect the state’s current challenges.

The first large-scale forum of representatives of Armenia’s state bodies was launched today at the Sports and Concert Complex, to which journalists did not have access. Employees of various state agencies, ministries, as well as the country’s President and Deputy Prime Ministers are participating.

From a short video published by Civil Contract (CC) MP Hripsime Hunanyan, it becomes clear that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke in his speech about state security, expanding opportunities for acquiring weaponry, and the right to defend territorial integrity at the international level.

The Prime Minister also highlighted the strengthening of internal stability: “I consider the strengthening of our internal legitimacy to be fundamental, which must be expressed through the adoption of a new Constitution,” he noted.

A panel discussion is planned after the forum, about which Mesrop Mesropyan, Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission, informed.
