Forcibly Displaced Students from Artsakh to Receive Tuition Reimbursement
A decision was adopted at the Government session, according to which first-year students from families forcibly displaced from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) will receive tuition reimbursement during the 2025-2026 academic year. This was reported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports (MESCS).
Reimbursement will be provided to approximately 240 students in the paid system of state universities (Bachelor’s degree, full-time study) and around 75 first-year students in vocational and secondary specialized educational institutions.
University students will receive reimbursement within the scope of this decision until the completion of the respective educational level, provided they maintain a semester GQA (Grade Qualification Average) of 75% or higher. Students of vocational and secondary specialized educational institutions will receive it if they have no less than 50% “excellent” and “good” grades based on the results of the previous semester.
In total, approximately 870 students studying under higher and postgraduate educational programs will receive tuition reimbursement in the 2025-2026 academic year, provided they meet the established academic progress threshold.
