Armenia National Basketball Team Starts EuroBasket Qualifiers with a Loss
The Armenia national basketball team competed against the Bulgaria national team in their first game of the EuroBasket 2025 qualifying round and suffered a 98:88 defeat.
In the first quarter of the game, the Bulgarians quickly gained an advantage and maintained it until the end of the first period, 25:21. At the beginning of the second quarter, the Armenia team managed to take the lead, but the hosts quickly regained the advantage, closing the first half with a score of 51:41.
After the long break, Bulgaria continued to control the course of the game, maintaining an 11-point lead in the third quarter, 78:67. In the final quarter, the Armenian team failed to change the outcome of the match, and the game ended with a victory for Bulgaria, 98:88.
It should be recalled that the first match took place at the “Botevgrad Arena,” located not far from Sofia.
The Armenia national team will play its next match in the qualifying round on November 30, hosting Norway in Yerevan.
