The body of a missing 74-year-old man was found in Lori Province; neighbor confessed to the crime
On November 28, at 12:20, an alarm was received at the Tumanyan Department of the Community Police, reporting that 74-year-old Lyovik Sh., a resident of the Akner district of Alaverdi, had left home the previous day and had not returned.
As a result of measures undertaken by the Alaverdi community police on the same day, it was established that on November 27, around 18:00, Lyovik Sh. went to the house of his 75-year-old neighbor. During a domestic dispute that occurred, the neighbor struck him with a wooden stick, causing fatal injuries.
The 75-year-old man confessed to the act. The wooden stick, which served as the tool for the crime, was also found.
He was arrested on the grounds of reasonable suspicion immediately arising from the commission of the crime and was transferred to the Tumanyan Department of the Community Police. The materials compiled regarding the incident have been forwarded to the Tumanyan Investigative Division, and criminal proceedings have been initiated.
