The meeting of the Asia Cultural Heritage Alliance took place in Chongqing, China, with the participation of more than 20 countries.

The results of the alliance’s grant competition were also announced: Armenia received approximately 32 million drams in support. With this amount, the program “Silk Road Model from a Local Perspective: Discovery and Preservation of Cultural Ties in Talin and Dashtadem” will be implemented.

The Armenian delegation was represented by Harutyun Vanyan, Head of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Monuments of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (MoESCS).

Armenia, as a founding country of the Asia Cultural Heritage Alliance, is ready to continue cooperation with China in the field of cultural heritage preservation. Harutyun Vanyan, the head of the delegation, noted this during the session. According to him, the support of international organizations is important in cases where cultural values may be damaged or destroyed due to conflicts.

Armenia has been re-elected to the council and will continue its active cultural engagement in regional programs.
