Cause of death of 3-year-old Tigran Ovanesov murdered in Tsapatagh revealed
The cause of death of 3-year-old Tigran Ovanesov, who was murdered in the village of Tsapatagh, is mechanical asphyxiation. This was reported by the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Republic of Armenia, informing that the preliminary investigation into the high-profile case has been completed.
According to the data of the Investigative Committee, the child’s death occurred as a result of the compression of the neck organs with blunt objects. During the preliminary investigation, it was established that Tigran Ovanesov was killed by his father out of a motive of revenge.
According to the IC report, an external examination of the body was conducted, during which various bodily injuries were found in the areas of the child’s body and head.
To recap, Tigran Ovanesov, born in 2022, went missing on October 27. The child’s body was discovered on November 2 in a field area located about 60 meters from the sign of Jil village, adjacent to the village of Tsapatagh. According to preliminary data, the 3-year-old child had been strangled to death by his father, Armen Ovanesov.
Later, it became known that public criminal prosecution was initiated against Armen Ovanesov under the article for murder, and by court decision, he was detained for a period of two months.
On November 4, it was also reported that an emergency meeting of the guardianship and trusteeship body was convened at the initiative of the staff of the Gegharkunik Governor, as a result of which the other children of the Ovanesov family were immediately moved to the Fund for Armenian Relief (FAR).
