Number of tourists increased in december: which countries visit Armenia the most?
In December 2025, 139,933 tourists visited Armenia. The data was published by the Tourism Committee of the RA, presenting the summary statistics of tourist flows for the last month of the year.
It is noted that during the same period of the previous year, the number of tourist visits to Armenia amounted to 130,148 people. Thus, a significant increase in visits was recorded in December, indicating a sustained interest in Armenia during the winter season.
According to the Committee’s data, from January to December 2025, the majority of tourists arrived in Armenia from Russia (41%), Georgia (13%), and Iran (8%), forming the main tourist flow of the year.
The presented statistics also include the distribution of visits by RA border crossing points, as well as the profile of tourist flows by gender and age groups, allowing for a more complete understanding of the structure of tourists visiting Armenia.
Among those who visited Armenia, the 35-44 age group is particularly prominent. Visitors from other countries primarily arrived by plane, with the vast majority landing at Zvartnots Airport. By land, the highest number of entries into Armenia was through the Bavra checkpoint.
