Armenia’s export volumes decreased in 2025

During the first 11 months of 2025, products worth 7.35 billion USD were exported from Armenia, which is significantly lower than the figure for the same period of the previous year.

The decline in exports is primarily due to a sharp reduction in re-export transactions, which accounted for a significant share of foreign trade volumes in 2022–2024.

The largest decline was recorded in export directions to the UAE and China. Specifically, exports to the UAE decreased by about 66 percent, and to China by 38 percent. The decrease is mainly attributed to the reduction in the circulation of precious metals and stones, as well as changes in trade and economic schemes.

At the same time, growth was recorded in a number of directions. Exports to Germany increased by 74 percent, to Switzerland and Belarus by more than 40 percent, and to Iraq by 36 percent.

The growth was mainly ensured by the export of products from the manufacturing, industrial, and agricultural sectors.
