High Technologies for Border and Customs Control to be Implemented within the Framework of TRIPP

Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan held a meeting today with representatives from the information technology, artificial intelligence, telecommunications, and technology sectors. During the meeting, the Prime Minister placed the primary emphasis on the planned introduction of high technologies within the border and customs control systems under the TRIPP project.

According to Pashinyan, innovative technologies will be applied during the project to help improve the efficiency of border checkpoints and prevent illegal activities, including at Zvartnots Airport. The Prime Minister noted that the implementation of such platforms is vital for Armenia’s security and economic growth.

Additionally, the meeting included discussions on the growth of the IT sector, the application of artificial intelligence in public administration and education, as well as directions for personnel training and the development of new specialists.

The meeting was also attended by the Vice President of the National Assembly Hakob Arshakyan and the Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan.

Prime Minister Pashinyan assured that the state will continue to support the development of the technological sector, emphasizing the importance of education and innovation for the economy.
