Vardan Ghukasyan transferred to Yerevan-Kentron Penitentiary Institution
According to lawyer Zaruhi Postanjyan, following an examination related to his health condition, Ghukasyan was transferred to the Yerevan-Kentron Penitentiary Institution (PI).
Earlier, it was reported that Ghukasyan had been moved from the penitentiary to a medical facility to undergo the necessary tests.
According to Postanjyan, the doctor had provided a diagnosis incompatible with detention; however, there is no doctor at the PI, only a nurse.
It should be recalled that the Anti-Corruption Committee had stated that the head of the Gyumri community and the community’s chief architect had received a bribe by prior agreement.
Ghukasyan did not accept the charges brought against him.
