New highways connecting Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkey
The Government of Georgia has announced that it plans to fully complete road construction projects implemented within the framework of the Middle Corridor in 2026.
These will connect Azerbaijan and Armenia with Turkey.
The corridor stretches from China, passing through Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey toward Europe.
It is also planned to complete the construction of several road sections. Specifically, the Rustavi-Red Bridge and Algeti-Sadakhlo roads, which connect to the borders of Azerbaijan and Armenia. Additionally, the Batumi-Sarpi highway, connecting Georgia to Turkey, will be constructed.
Georgia officially joined the Middle Corridor in 2022, and Turkey was the initiator of the country’s involvement.
