New appointments in the church
By the Pontifical order of Karekin II, a series of appointments and dismissals have taken place.
His Grace Bishop Parthev Barseghyan has been relieved of his post as Leader of the Diocese of Gegharkunik and appointed Leader of the Armenian Diocese of Switzerland.
By Pontifical order, the Locum Tenens of the Armenian Diocese of Switzerland, Very Reverend Father Kousan Aljanian, has been relieved of his post, while the Spiritual Inspector of Penitentiary Institutions, Very Reverend Father Isahak Poghosyan, has been concurrently appointed Locum Tenens of the Diocese of Gegharkunik.
It should be recalled that weeks ago, the Locum Tenens of the Armenian Diocese of Switzerland, Very Reverend Father Kousan Aljanian, publicly welcomed the creation of the Coordinating Council formed with the participation of the Prime Minister and ten bishops, declaring that he joins their initiative and accepts the content of the declaration and the presented map.
