MOD official arrested
Within the framework of criminal proceedings investigated by the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, public criminal prosecution has been initiated against the head of one of the subdivisions of the Armavir Military Commissariat of the RA Ministry of Defense (MOD) and three other individuals. The Anti-Corruption Committee informed Amnews about this.
The official is accused of receiving large-scale bribes in exchange for organizing the process of illegally exempting persons subject to military training musters from said musters.
The court granted the motion to apply detention as a preventive measure, and the official has been remanded in custody.
