Orange danger level declared in Moscow

More than half of the monthly precipitation norm is expected to fall in Moscow over the next two days, prompting the declaration of an orange danger level in the capital.

The city’s roads and vehicles have been covered in snow, traffic jams have been recorded on several highways, and visibility has dropped to a minimum.

Due to unfavorable weather conditions, 15 departures and 39 arrivals have been delayed at the airports.

According to preliminary data, precipitation during these days will amount to 14-19 mm, and the height of the snow cover will increase by 10-15 centimeters.

The powerful cyclone has also caused serious complications in road traffic. A major traffic jam has formed due to at least two road accidents.

The cyclone is caused by the collision of different air masses, which will continue until Wednesday.
