May 4 declared a non-working day
The Government plans to reschedule the working day of May 4, 2026, to Saturday, April 18, 2026.
This decision will be discussed on January 29 during the cabinet session.
According to the project’s justification, Armenia is preparing to host the 8th European Political Community (EPC) Summit, featuring approximately 50 high-level delegations. Therefore, to ensure the efficient management of traffic in Yerevan, it is proposed to relocate the May 4 working day.
The draft was prepared by the Staff of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
European Political Community summits are held twice a year. The initiative was launched by the President of France, Emmanuel Macron. The platform brings together leaders of European countries to discuss topics of strategic importance.
The first EPC summit took place in Prague in October 2022. Within the framework of that summit, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President Ilham Aliyev recognized each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
