Support period for families of missing servicemen extended
During its session on January 29, the Government adopted a decision to extend the social support of 300,000 AMD provided to the families of 21 missing servicemen for an additional 3 months, until March 2026 inclusive.
The justification for the draft states that the current support was scheduled to last until December 2025; however, payments for the families of servicemen not yet judicially recognized as missing were set to terminate on January 1, 2026. This situation arose due to the fact that, as of January 15, there were 21 missing servicemen without a judicial act.
According to the project, the support will be paid until March 2026 inclusive. The funding is planned to be implemented through the redistribution of funds allocated to the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs under the 2026 state budget.
The total amount allocated for the support over the three-month period will be 18,900,000 AMD.
