WHO Executive Board unanimously adopts resolution proposed by Armenia
Within the framework of the 158th session of the World Health Organization (WHO) Executive Board, Armen Melkonyan, Head of the International Relations Department of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, delivered a series of speeches.
The latter presented the resolution initiated by Armenia titled “Global Actions to Ensure Health Equity for Persons with Hemophilia and Other Bleeding Disorders.”
It was developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia and the World Federation of Hemophilia, aiming to improve access to treatment and care for persons with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders.
As a result of the negotiations, the presented draft was adopted unanimously.
It is planned that the resolution will be presented for final official adoption by all 194 WHO member states at the 79th World Health Assembly to be held in May 2026.
This will be followed by the implementation phase of the provisions defined by the resolution, in accordance with the roadmap developed for 2026-2028.
