Moped emergency medical service to be launched soon in Yerevan

An emergency medical rapid response service using mopeds is planned to be launched in Yerevan. This was announced by the RA Minister of Health, Anahit Avanesyan, during an annual year-end press conference.

According to the Minister, the initiative aims to increase the accessibility and response speed of emergency services amid urban traffic congestion. She noted that the program was developed based on the study of experience from several countries and specifically targets urgent cases.

Avanesyan stated that the service will operate through specialists traveling on mopeds, who will be equipped with necessary first aid supplies and will be able to reach the scene quickly.

According to the Minister, the program will enter the practical phase in the near future, and the corresponding government decision will be adopted soon.
