RA SRC Chief Tax inspector remanded in custody
The Chief Tax Inspector of the RA State Revenue Committee (SRC) has been remanded in custody; two other individuals have also been detained. The RA Anti-Corruption Committee informed Amnews about this.
Within the framework of the criminal proceedings initiated at the Anti-Corruption Committee, 3 persons were detained, including the Chief Tax Inspector of the RA State Revenue Committee. The latter has been charged with receiving large-scale bribes from economic entities in 3 episodes, the Committee noted.
Detention has been applied as a preventive measure against the Chief Tax Inspector.
It should be noted that on January 15, five persons were detained, including officials holding managerial positions at the State Revenue Committee. The arrests were carried out within the framework of criminal proceedings initiated based on data obtained as a result of operational-intelligence measures conducted by the Anti-Corruption Committee.
According to the case materials, the SRC officials are accused of collective abuse of power.
