Gold jewelry, diesel fuel: this week’s revelations by the SRC

The State Revenue Committee (SRC) has summarized the latest cases of smuggling and violations of customs rules, presenting the discoveries recorded at border checkpoints during the week.

As a result of the inspection of the luggage of a passenger arriving on the “Dubai-Yerevan” flight, an undeclared Rolex watch and branded gold jewelry were discovered.

Banknotes with a nominal value of 16,000 and 26,900 USD, respectively, which had not been declared in accordance with the established procedure, were found with citizens arriving on the “Sharjah-Yerevan” and “Kuwait-Yerevan” flights.

During the inspection of a vehicle at the “Bavra” border checkpoint, 200 packs of ZUMERRET cigarettes were found without declaration.

As a result of the inspection of trucks and buses carrying out international passenger transportation at the “Agarak” customs checkpoint, 20,900 liters of diesel fuel and 860 liters of gasoline hidden from customs control were discovered.

Furthermore, at the “Bagratashen” checkpoint, an inspection of an arriving vehicle revealed 247 kg of undeclared accessories for mobile phones.
