The Olympic Games have concluded
Yesterday, on February 22, the closing ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games held in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo took place.
This was the first time in history that the Games were hosted by two host cities, Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo. Additionally, for the first time in the history of the Winter Games, the opening and closing ceremonies were held in different locations: the opening in Milan and the formal closing ceremony in Verona.
The medal table is topped by the Norwegian national team, which set a historical record by winning 18 gold and a total of 41 medals. The United States ranks second with 33 medals. Host country Italy recorded its best result in the history of the Winter Games, winning 10 gold medals and securing the fourth position.
Armenia’s national team returns home without a medal this year.
