The director of Yerevan Kindergarten No. 143 has been arrested
The director of Yerevan Kindergarten No. 143, Ruzanna Danielyan, has been arrested. She has been charged with the embezzlement of particularly large-scale property entrusted to her and with receiving large-scale bribes. Law enforcement authorities have informed that the preliminary investigation is ongoing.
It should be noted that a few days ago, a group of parents visited the kindergarten and demanded clarifications from the director regarding her reinstatement. The parents inquired how it was possible that no investigation was being conducted within the scope of the criminal proceedings, why employees were not being interrogated, and why the director had returned to work.
Earlier, in June-July 2024, a series of violations were uncovered at the kindergarten following studies conducted by the staff of the Shengavit administrative district. Specifically, ghost positions, cases of bribery, and the misappropriation of salaries and food products intended for children were recorded. Boxes containing poultry, butter, oil, jam, and other products were found in the basement of the kindergarten, which, according to data, were periodically removed by the business manager.
To avoid potential criminal liability, Ruzanna Danielyan and the business manager had submitted their resignations and were dismissed from their positions.
