Which products became more expensive and which became cheaper in Armenia in 2021-2025

In 2025, inflation was recorded in 9 out of 12 main food groups in Armenia. The highest growth was registered in the groups of fish and seafood (18.1%), coffee, tea and cocoa (13.2%), oils and fats (12.3%), vegetables (10.7%), and non-alcoholic beverages (9.6%). Fruit prices increased by 6.9%, the prices of bakery and cereals by 3.2%, meat by 2.2%, and confectionery by 0.3%.

Meanwhile, some products became cheaper: sugar by 4.5%, dairy products by 0.5%, and cheese and eggs by 0.4%. It is noteworthy that while bakery prices rose, the price of imported wheat increased by 28%, reaching 96.4 AMD per 1 kg.

During 2021-2025, a significant increase was also recorded in the prices of the following products:

— Bread (1 kg): 524 → 612 AMD

— Pasta: 643 → 799 AMD

— Beef: 2920 → 3863 AMD

— Trout: 2673 → 3387 AMD

— Milk: 441 → 533 AMD

— Cheese: 2335 → 2514 AMD

— Apples: 579 → 650 AMD

— Potatoes: 253 → 320 AMD

— Tomatoes: 744 → 873 AMD

At the same time, the prices of some products decreased:

— Eggs (10 pcs): 806 → 750 AMD

— Vegetable oil: 1150 → 650 AMD

— Cabbage: 228 → 196 AMD

— Sugar: 406 → 368 AMD.
