Diplomat present at the UAE-Oman border

Against the backdrop of developments in the Middle East, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia has provided support in obtaining permits for Muscat-Yerevan flights, facilitating the potential return of RA citizens to Armenia.

It is reported that a diplomat from the Embassy was present at the UAE-Oman border with the aim of facilitating the entry of RA citizens into Oman. Additionally, at the Muscat airport, an embassy representative provided the necessary support and guidance to the citizens.

In addition to the citizens returning via Muscat-Yerevan flights, three RA citizens who were in Oman at the time the military operations commenced have already returned to Armenia.

At this moment, five more RA citizens have contacted the RA Embassy in Oman: two of them arrived in Muscat from a Far Eastern country via a “Qatar Airways” flight, while three are currently in the city of Salalah.

It is noted that accommodation for the citizens has been provided by the airlines, and the RA diplomatic mission is discussing possible options for their departure to Armenia.
