A construction tender will be announced for the “Surmalu” metro station
A project competition has been announced for the construction of a metro station near the “Surmalu” shopping center. This was discussed during the Yerevan operational meeting.
On October 17, the proposed design for the construction of the new “Surmalu” metro station was reviewed in a session of the expert group.
The “Yerevan Office for Construction and Investment Program Implementation” indicated that during budget discussions, it was decided to revise the program. It is including a component for conducting a techno-economic study. The next objective set at that stage was to provide the project for review by external experts or international organizations.
If the expert group’s next session is held by the end of November and the revised project is approved, the tender process will begin.
Negotiations are ongoing with international organizations regarding potential financing for the project. In the near future, international organizations are expected to conduct site visits.
