Spartak Mikaelyan has become the champion of the MMA Youth World Championship
From November 5 to 10, Spartak Mikaelyan won a gold medal at the IMMAF Youth MMA World Championship held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. He is the first athlete in Armenia’s history to win the title of champion at the Youth MMA World Championship.
Competing in the 74.8 kg weight category, he triumphed in all fo
4 of his matches. Additionally, Mikaelyan was awarded a victory in another bout as his opponent refused to enter the ring.
The tournament, held in Uzbekistan for the first time, featured approximately 550 athletes from 67 countries across 40 different weight categories. In the team competition, Uzbekistan’s team emerged as the leader.
