
Georgia’s opposition forces are holding a protest rally
Georgia’s opposition forces are marching in Tbilisi to protest the results of the recent parliamentary elections.
Protesters are holding a rally in front of the parliament building. Opposition parties and students also joined.
The parliamentary elections in Georgia took place on October 26, with 18 parties participating, including the ruling “Georgian Dream” party. Which has been in power for 12 years. According to the final results from the Central Election Commission, the ruling party garnered 53.93% of the votes, securing 89 seats in parliament.
President Salome Zourabichvili and all opposition parties have refused to recognize the election results, calling them fraudulent. Since November 4, the opposition has been organizing protests demanding a new election.
