100-year-old residents of Yerevan will receive 1 million AMD in support
Starting January 1, 2025, 100-year-old residents of Yerevan will receive 1 million AMD from the city budget. The proposal was presented and approved during a session of the Yerevan City Council.
To qualify, residents must have been registered in Yerevan for at least the past five years by the time they turn 100.
The financial support will be transferred by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
Between 2018 and 2023, 177 Yerevan residents celebrated their 100th birthday, averaging up to 30 residents per year. The total annual amount of proposed social assistance from Yerevan’s budget will be approximately 30 million AMD.
