A new scam has spread on the Facebook social network
Media experts have noted that a new scam has spread on Facebook. Fake pages of various store chains have been created, promising to gift certain electronic items such as refrigerators, washing machines, etc., to citizens who complete specific tasks. All that users are required to do is write the phrase “done” in the comments section of the post.
To make the announcement more convincing, the organizers claim that the products have minor scratches and cannot be sold. However, if we pay attention to the picture, we can see that it features Chinese characters, palm trees, and other small details unrelated to Armenia.
Scammers’ actions also continue on the WhatsApp application. Messages are being sent to users from various numbers, giving them 12 hours to verify their identity. The message states that the issue has arisen due to unusual activity, and if the identity is not verified, the accounts will be immediately deleted.
Media experts have warned citizens not to open the messages, not to click on suspicious links, and to always remember that “free cheese only exists in traps.”
