Explosion in Norapat Village
According to the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), today, on December 12, at 14:53, an explosion occurred in an empty 40-ton capacity iron barrel (tank) used for diesel fuel during welding works in the area of former cowsheds in the village of Norapat, Armavir Province, as a result of which a fire broke out in the area.
Two fire and rescue squads carried out fire extinguishing works. The fire was isolated at 15:07 and completely put out at 15:12.
One civilian was injured as a result of the explosion; they were hospitalized. As a result of the fire, about 15 square meters of electric cable and electric tools were also burned, the lower part of one barrel (tank) was damaged, and three barrels (tanks) were affected by heat.
