Citizen attempting to set fire to NSS building detained
Criminal proceedings have been initiated regarding the incident near the National Security Service (NSS) building in Yerevan, according to the RA Investigative Committee.
Late in the evening of March 6, a video circulated online showing an individual throwing a flaming container toward the gates of the NSS building on Nalbandyan Street in Yerevan.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that one individual was detained on suspicion of committing the crime and presented to the preliminary investigation body.
According to the Investigative Committee, criminal proceedings were initiated under three articles of the Criminal Code: destruction or damage of property committed by arson, explosion, or other publicly dangerous means (Article 264, Part 2, Clause 2), hooliganism (Article 297, Part 1), and terrorism (Article 308, Part 1).
The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
