
The hikers fell off the slope: rescuers came to their aid
On December 1st, in the Aragatsotn region, in the area of the Gegharot Waterfall, two members of a three-person hiking group fell off the slope. Rescuers located H. Kh. (born in 1998), A. T. (born in 1998), and L. H. (born in 1995). The latter two were found with various injuries and signs of hypothermia. About 20 firefighters and rescuers, as well as 5 mountaineers from the Armenian Federation of Mountaineering and Mountain Tourism, were involved in helping the lost hikers.
They were transported by snowmobile to the nearest ambulance.
The weather conditions in the Aragatsotn region are poor. The road from the “Amberd” high-altitude meteorological station to Kari Lake is even closed.
