The 2027 World Weightlifting Championship will be organized in Armenia

An international boxing tournament was held at the Hamlet Paturyan Sports School in Ejmiatsin, where many Armenian boxers became winners of the competition. The boxing event, dedicated to Khachik Khachatryan, also featured top boxers from Sweden and Georgia.

The World Weightlifting Championship will begin in Manama, Bahrain, on December 6. One of Armenia’s strongest weightlifters, Simon Martirosyan, will miss the competition due to an injury. This was announced by the official website of the Armenian National Olympic Committee (ANOC).

Garik Melkonyan, a para skier representing Armenia, has won a bronze medal for the first time in history at an international ranking competition held in Norway. He completed the 10 km classic style race and secured third place.

The International Chess Federation (FIDE) has published its December ranking list, featuring five of Armenia’s top chess players in the world’s top 100.

The government has confirmed that the sports complex located at 5 Tsitsernakaberd Highway in Yerevan will be used for the training of national teams.

Mkhitaryan gave an interview to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, discussing topics such as education, language proficiency, as well as the loss of his father and the importance of family.
