Citizens Who File Declarations Will Be Eligible for Social Expense Reimbursement
The State Revenue Committee has announced that individuals who submit an annual income declaration will be able to take advantage of social expense reimbursement opportunities for expenses incurred both for themselves and their family members. Through this system, citizens will, for the first time, be eligible to receive reimbursement for social expenses if they have made health- or education-related expenditures during the year. Education expenses may cover preschool, primary, basic, secondary, vocational, intermediate, higher, or postgraduate education programs.
The maximum annual reimbursement for healthcare-related expenses is set at 50,000 drams, while for education-related expenses, it is capped at 100,000 drams. However, citizens cannot simultaneously claim both benefits. Concurrent reimbursement is only possible if the total reimbursement for educational and healthcare-related social expenses does not exceed 100,000 drams.
To benefit from social expense reimbursement, citizens must provide calculation documents obtained from the insurance company or educational institution, along with an identification document and a public service number.
